#_HOpenResFile death

While trying to run the MACTCP interface MCL 2.0p2 died a horrible
death during a call to #_HOpenResFile.  (System error - unknown A-trap)
Is this a system 7 thing?  Is there any way to get this work in system
6?  (The call is in the Lisp code for loading the domain name resolver.)
