AKCL 1.615 on Interactive Unix SVR3 3.0

I tried several times to build AKCL 1.615 on an ISC SVR3 3.0 system.
Everything works fine, saved_kcl is there, it recompiled the compiler,
but then when I compile a file and try to load it, I get an error:
(the file make.lisp is in ~akcl/lsp/make.lsp")

The whole compilation was done with 'gcc -fwritable-strings -O' and
static linking of the final binaries.

Has anybody seen this behaviour? Is there a solution to it?
Any hints appreciated...
