since the programs used for timing were allowed to be different from the ones in RPG's book, (e.g. declarations) and at least some of the programs are unrunnnable as given, the benchmark timings are somewhat less useful than you might think. If YOU run them benchmarks on various machines/lisps, you may get much different numbers.
