Re: SunOS SPARC core
Does anyone know how to get in touch with Miles? I sent mail to the
address given in the README file included in
pub/bader/cmucl-sunos.tar.Z on kythera.nmsu.edu and it bounced. I
checked for obvious login names at kythera.nmsu.edu without success.
Alternatively, does anyone here want to suggest a methodology for
attempting a build from source on a remote site deep in the bowels of
downtown Pittsburgh in the land that computing forgot :-)
I'm in the process of moving Miles' executable. I'm assuming that the
next step is to move /afs/cs/project/clisp/master/ and then to load
worldbuild into the executable. If I'm way off base, I'd sure
appreciate someone pointing that out to me.
Did you folks incorporate any changes that Miles' made, other than the
documented gratuitous incompatibilities documented in the README.

p. s. Here's the README for anyone who doesn't want to haul it over
and yank it out for themselves:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
CMU Common Lisp
Usage: ldb -core lisp.core
These binaries are for sparcs running sunos; it is known to work with sunos
4.0.3 and 4.1, on both a sun4 and an slc.
Known bugs:
Round doesn't work for floating point numbers
Gratuitous incompatibilities:
The init file is "~/.cmucl-init", not "~/init"
(pathname ".foo") has a type of NIL, not ""
