disk-based sorting

For a project I'm currently working on I'm going to need to be able to
sort very large files on disk--files that are too large to read in to
memory all at once.  Does anybody know of any existing Symbolics Lisp
code that does such a thing?  Any pointers would be helpful.  (I
understand that the current database work at Symbolics will provide a
solution, but not for at least a year, and we can't wait that long.)
