Adding to the remarks on 7:

We were also a beta test site and are running
about 50% time in the final form of 7 at this
juncture.

I agree that the common lisp conversion is 
separable from the 6 to 7 conversion.  We 
made the decision to do them simultaneously
in order to provide an opportunity for 
reviewing the state of the systems converted
in a thorough manner.  Some of the 7 tools,
such as Find string which will find occurances
of any string such as assoc even in an
uncompiled system are helpful.

I was disappointed that many of the
things I pointed out as bugs
or difficulties in the beta test
were not dealt with in the final
release.
