    Perhaps I'm a little dense, but isn't Symbolics Release 7.1 a reasonably
    good and fast common lisp interpreter itself?

My initial reaction too.  That's what you get, Mr. Akbari, for posing your
request in the Re: line of the header instead of the body of the mail.
