    I don't know whether, in the case of Unix, it is necessary to have
    Chaosnet support in your Unix in order to use remote tape.

We have a version of the Unix RTAPE server that runs on Ultrix 2.0 and
works over TCP/IP.  When we get around to making our SLUG library
submission, I'll try to include it.
