Calling Customer Service for bad sectors

Well there is one major set of utilities missing. Those are the ones
that I believe are in the disk package (at least this is what I
remember by having a look at the bad blocks listing that comes with
each disk) and are responsible for generating the bad blocks file on
the disk. Also the knowledge of how to generate the magic  numbers
required by the FEP for a new disk type is missing. When you are down
with a bad disk, and it is taking a week to get a Symbolics
replacement, you think of alternatives like this!
