Benefit of NFS - response to Brad Miller's query

A major benefit of NFS from the Symbolics side is that it allows you
to have full versioning just like a LMFS.

NFS also allows you to use a remote Unix file system as your SYS host.
More precisely, NFS provides enough information about file attributes to
satisfy SCT's needs. It also allows direct access to files on the
remote Unix FS, which allows you to store your documentation database
(SAB) files remotely and still have on-line documentation access.
