Symbolics announces improved Ivory chip

Symbolics announced today an improved version of the Ivory chip
(1.2micron vs 1.6micron, 135ns vs 240ns clock, 45ns vs 70ns SRam).  They
report that the MacIvory model II is 75% faster on the Gabriel
benchmarks than the MacIvory model I.

I was only paying attention to the MacIvory version but I presume the
XL400 will also be sped up significantly.

Through 6/30, the MacIvory upgrade (to already purchased machines) will be
$2.5K.
