BASE & IBASE



Zetalisp still uses BASE and IBASE.  There are still lots of people using
the public domain Franz Lisp on Unix; since it was designed to be Maclisp
compatible, it probably uses the Maclisp variable names.

Most Lisps developed during the 80's in the US are based on Common Lisp, so
they use *PRINT-BASE* and *READ-BASE* as it requires.
