	Up until a few months ago, actually.  I took over from Ken in
the summer of '88.

	After much soul-searching and discussion with some folks here at
MIT, I came to the conclusion that the charter was just too broad to be
of any use to people doing real research.  I know of twenty-one *other*
lists that deal with AI topics, in more-or-less specific detail.  Here's
the list ...
