Confused attribution of previous statements.

I think you have attributed some comments to me which I don't
believe I made.
Indeed, as I was cutting and pasting my last message, I inadvertently
attributed comments made by Stefan Roth to you, as you say. My public
apology to both Stephen and Stefan for introducing the confusion! (And,
thanks again for everyone's enlightening info on this topic.)

The Explorer can read Symbolics carry tapes or UNIX TAR tapes.
I don't ever recall making the statement about UNIX TAR tapes.
In my reply to you I did refer to the Carry format, though;
to wit:
snicoud> On an Explorer, the Backup System has the capability to
snicoud> read/write ascii files in a Carry Tape format. I don't
snicoud> know about a microExplorer.

Poor debugger support on TI. Local variables in a frame are only accessible by
calling some strange function (EH-LOC, etc).
I know I didn't make this claim. I don't dispute its accuracy
(on which I'm not qualified to comment), just its attribution to
me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not upset or anything about the
misattribution; however, I wanted draw it to you attention.
Yes, thank you for the correction. Perhaps Gary Roberts (not to be
confused with me, Robert Pfeiffer) and I should form a new mailing list
for people who confuse people with other people on mailing lists. :-)
