Symbolics User's Group meeting in Las Vegas??

I got a letter today from Symbolics Graphics Division regarding a
Symbolics User's Group meeting in two weeks in Las Vegas, during the
NAB'91 conference. What is this Symbolics User's Group, and how does it
relate to SLUG (which, as far as I know, has no meeting scheduled in two
    weeks)?

At graphics trade shows Symbolics hosts a meeting where users of the
S-Products get together. It's a pretty informal meeting where the head
of graphics marketing talks a little, and the users give feedback about
the graphics tools offered by Symbolics. Often the S-Products
developers attend, too, as well as the graphics sales teams.

The group is not associated with SLUG Inc., and I would have to say that
calling it a group is misleading. What you received could probably more
accurately be described as an invitation to a get-together of a bunch
of people who have something to do with the S-Products. The "group" has
no officers, no dues, publishes no minutes, and only meets at trade
shows.

This is only my opinion as someone who has attended these meetings in
the past, who is a user of the S-Products, and who didn't read the
letter you received. I hope this is enough information to answer your
questions. Hope to see you there!
