     The problem was this:

     After booting the new world (an incremental disk save),  when
attempting  to  print  sg,  the  printer  gets  stuck "serial unit
locked".

     Advice got from  Arlene Altshuler said  that one has  to halt
the print spooler  before saving an  incremental world based  on a
world that has  a started print  spooler within.

     This fix solves the problem.
