       Who knows, maybe an XL1201 new is as cheap as a used XL1200

    Just for my own information, what is an XL1201 and how does its speed compare
    with an XL1200?

The XL1201 is a compact XL1200.  It has the same processor system as the
XL1200, and performance will be essentially the same. There's an upper
limited of 40 MB (8 MW) of memory on the XL1201, and it's only available
in monochrome.  It is limited to one ESDI disk, although additional SCSI
disks can be added.
