hardcopy from x remote screen

   If i hardcopy a file from an x remote screen, where the file is on a host
   other than the lispm, I get a request for a password, which is ok, but
   the request can only be brought forward with FUNCTION-0-s on the
   real console, which is not ok, or at least not convenient.

   Is this occurring because someone is logged in on the console? or is there some
   other change I need to make?

It's occurring because the login is occurring in the background process
that is spawned by Hardcopy File.  While a process in a window knows to pop
up windows on the same screen as itself, background processes are always
associated with the main screen.

At the LUV-92 Conference, Symbolics announced that 8.3 (coming out next
year) will have significant improvements in X windows.  Maybe they'll be
addressing this kind of stuff.
