Yes, this is quite right. From NIL;RP > (the reader-printer syntax)
" 1.1.5) Unsigned machine word: #*C4BD96AC* #*777777*
The "#*" prefix indicates this mode, and * serves as a kind
of delimiter for the numeric string.
whereas #O is merely an abbreviation for #8R... which is radix 8.
