I think that the currently released DEBUG package is becoming useless.
Some effort to trim it is in order. (1) It loads too many things. Many
environments just can't tolerate all that junk getting loaded in.
(2) I just ran it in a PDL-OVERFLOW break and it caused a PDL-OVERFLOW
just trying to run. If a debugger is not going to be friendly to the
environs it tries to run in, it's of diminishing value. A few months ago,
this debugger was in good shape. Now I am thinking of stopping using it due
to excessive hair. Fine to release a fancy-debug package, but let's bring
back some measure of simplicity as the standard thing and let the fancy
version be loadable for those cases where one can afford it.
