A useful feature to add to some future release of MACL is incremental
Here are some reasons:
o Floppy disks are limited to 800K/1.4MB, while dumped
lisp images are often much larger. Since not every user
of a system is likely to have access to appletalk or
binary ftp, this leaves no convenient mechanism for
distributing images, other than distributing fasl files
or using an application like stuffit.
o Makes it easier to deal with multi-component systems.
