(1) Why does Emacs give a "Wrong Byte Size" error when
I try to use a remote filename like CHA:AI.IFILE_Richâ;REQ
as an argument to Find File?
My guess is that EMACS wants to open the file in ASCII (7 bit) mode, but
that the chaos connection can only be opened in 32 bit mode.
Thanks. Sounds plausible, but is it easily fixable?
