I assume that you were using "term sun" (which should be changed to
"term vgts or term vgts28") instead of "term vt100".  The "term sun"
command is the same as doing a term vt100 followed by a term page 28.
It sounds like Emacs has a bug, in that it should use the length
given by the OS instead of hardwiring in 24.  As a temporary measure,
just say "term vt100" to the exec, and it will page every 24 lines
instead of every 28.
