On EE, (STATUS JNAME) and (STATUS SUBSY) both return MACLIS for
jobs named MACLISP and MACLISP0 ... I suspect it's just blindly
truncating to 6 chars. Is there any reason to truncate at all?

In TOPS-20, The subsystem name of system programs is defined to be
the filename, truncated to six letters and converted to sixbit.
This I suspect is the reason why.
