Maclisp.2018 is totally losing. Your suggestion that LEXPR-FUNCALL doesn't
work seems reasonable. I had troubles with what was probably LEXPR-FUNCALL
in that lisp and lost badly in my ULisp interpreter. Maclisp.2009, and
Maclisp.2031 on up do not exhibit these problems. So you should try the
problem you have in another Lisp and re-report the bug if it persists.
