    A version of the NWS documentation says that when a notification window
    appears the user has no choice but to click it and make the window which
    wants to appear appear.

    He ought to be able to make the notification window go away and then
    type TERMINAL 0 S when he wants to see the window which the notification
    was about.

It behaves just as you describe.  Allan, please fix the documentation.
