    The compiler does have a mode where it compiles to both a qfasl file

I have tried using this, and it seems to work for vanilla functions.  It
loses with defmethods in the old class system, and in a few other cases
which I've forgotten.  I haven't tried it with the flavor system.
If this could be made to work, I would use it frequently.
