    In Symbolics 3600 Release 6.0, IP-TCP 29.0, AISite 8.3,
    Experimental COLOR 135.1, Experimental COLOR-EDITOR 4.0,
    Experimental COLOR-PALETTE 2.0, Experimental COLOR-DEMO 68.0,
microcode TMC5-MIC 319, Release 6 with Color, on Lisp Machine Buddy Holly:

    I did Control-U Meta-X Compile File Return.

    >>Error: The object #<LISP-MODE 120576060> received a :DEFAULT-BINARY-FILE-TYPE message, which went unclaimed.
The rest of the message was ()
    While in the function ZWEI:COM-COMPILE-FILE ZWEI:COM-EXTENDED-COMMAND ZWEI:COMMAND-EXECUTE

I found your message and the following one in my inbox at the same time; I couldn't connect to
OZ to find out if you subscribe to BUG-LISPM@OZ, so I took the liberty of including SWM's reply to PAO.

    Experimental Manip 5.0, microcode TMC5-MIC 319, FEP 18, on Lisp Machine Robot-2:

C-U M-X Compile File still (again?) produces this error. I think I
reported this back in release 4.

    >>Error: The object #<LISP-MODE 120576060> received a :DEFAULT-BINARY-FILE-TYPE message, which went unclaimed.
The rest of the message was ()
    While in the function ZWEI:COM-COMPILE-FILE ZWEI:COM-EXTENDED-COMMAND ZWEI:COMMAND-EXECUTE

Typo in COM-COMPILE-FILE, fixed in Rel 6.1
