I hope I'm writing to the right place...

I'm interested in CLIM and would like to be added to the mailing list.
(Such requests should normally be sent to clim-requests@bbn.com. I've
forwarded this for you.)

If you have any standard blurb
No standard (electronic) blurbs, but I'll try to answer your questions
below.
				   for beginners that answers
    1. what is CLIM?
The Common Lisp Interface Manager, a platform-independent CL UIMS.
There are currently back-ends for X, MS-Windows, MacOS, and Genera.
CLIM is the product of an informal coalition of Lisp companies: ILA,
Symbolics, Xerox, Lucid, Franz, Siemens Nixdorf, and Harlequin. The
goal of CLIM is to provide portability for complex interactive Common
Lisp applications, and to provide high-level constructs and tools for
user-interface building.
    2. how do I get it?
Contact your Common Lisp vendor or ILA (at the address shown below).
    etc. etc.
please send that to me also.

Thanks (if you are the right place) and
    apologies (if you are not)

    brian
