forgot to say I'm using Motif. '.mwmrc' for those unix-heads.

i don't think i've got anything in either .xinitrc or .mwmrc that
causes this to be goofy, but it could be a default that I haven't
forced to be otherwise...

this is the standard litany now, for all s/w: "it's in the next
version, just get the upgrade" ... SO WHEN CAN I GET IT, EH?

CLIM 1.1 does NOT, and that's what I have to use, and I have to have
progress indicators NOW. kinda forces the issue, don't it?
