patches to PCL

In the past few months, a number of people have sent out patches to PCL.
These fix a variety of bugs, so are really important, especially to new
users.  Unfortunately, with the notable exception of Doug Cutting's
patch and some patches to support Genera 8.0, none of these has made it
into the sources on arisia.

The purpose of this message is to ask whether there is someone out there
who would be willing to merge the patches back into the May Day REV 2
sources now on arisia.  If someone would volunteer for this it would be
great, especially for the new people who pick up the old sources and
then end up complaining about the same bugs that have already been
fixed.
