consulting for building rule-based and case-based reasoning expert systems

There are several open positions in the Northeast.

Your principal responsibility will be to implement applications using
Artificial Intelligence technologies including expert systems, knowledge
based systems and case based reasoning. You will integrate these systems
with existing client applications. Therefore, experience with one or more
of the following will be useful: Unix, Windows NT, Solaris, Windows 95,
object- oriented languages such as C++, database management systems such
as Oracle or Sybase. You will also need to participate in system testing
as well as in documentation (including the acquired knowledge, knowledge
representation, user documentation, and developer documentation).

As part of your job, you may need to demonstrate the application to the
business areas and users, often "training" the initial users in the use
of the system. 

**Requirements**

This person must be a highly motivated individual who can implement
solutions in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate must have
solid system analysis skills, be task and accomplishment oriented,
organized, hard working, and self-motivated.  Team players with
initiative will fit well into our environment.

Client is looking for developers with about 2 to 5 years of programming
experience.  Strong object-oriented skills are required.  Rule and
case-based system design and development skills, as well as the ability
to perform Knowledge Acquisition and help define the business
requirements are highly desirable.  Experience with the design and
implementation of client server applications as well as user interfaces
is also required.

Experience with an expert system building tool/shell is highly
desirable.

Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle in particular), including
database design and SQL will be very valuable.  Experience with Oracle
Forms will be preferred. 

General knowledge on the use of and development of Internet technologies
(HTML, CGI, Java, perl, tcl, TCP/IP) will be a strong plus.

A working knowledge of UNIX is required.

Experience with C is a plus.
