This is degenerating into a real religious argument. I think Richard
Fateman's message says all that needs to be said on this subject. T
and Franz both have their strengths and weaknesses, as do all the other
Lisps that run on the VAX, and everywhere else.
Yale is primarily targeting T for the Apollo, which may explain their
reported lack of enthusiasm for supporting 4.2. But perhaps you should
blaim the 4.2 people for their half-hearted, inadequate "compatibility"
option, rather than the T people.
People who are interested in T may wish to contact Rees@Yale (sorry,
Jonathan...)
Also, in all honesty, isn't a lot of the Franz code pretty unreasonably
written, too?
