... The resolution was some awful switch setting for whether or not to
treat them as ATOMs, but I don't remember the default setting, nor the
final results.
There are indeed a couple of switches that control various random aspects
of hunks, but none of them have any effect on their atomic or non-atomic
nature. Hunks are never atoms in MacLisp. Everybody agrees that this is a
loss, but at this point it is rather deeply ingrained into things to think
about changing it.
