Network communication in MACL?

Before I try to write one myself, does there exist an implementation of
network communications (via TCP or Appletalk) written in Lisp?  What I have
in mind is something similar to the TCP XCMDs that are used in the
Hypercard Netnews reader, except in Lisp of course.

Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.
