What makes this worse is that not all applications that have scrollable
lists work this way. Some allow disjoint selection with just the shift
key, while others require the command key. This certainly confused me.
I imagine some applications use the list manager and others are faking
it and not getting it quite right (or maybe they think they are improving
it). Certainly this isn't MACL's fault!
