Thanks for the quick response.
It seems that there are two cambridge.apple.com's from within apple.com - I
guess that I was trying to get at the wrong one [90.223.0.3] instead of
[134.149.2.3]
There are even more...

For all those ip addresses problems, try to telnet to the NIC host (Network Information
Center) and ask "whois" apple, you'll get all their ip addresses.
You might try "telnet nic" or "telnet 192.67.67.20" to log on to the host.
