I've tested a fairly large program on a Quadra 700 and a SparcStation with
Allegro CL (sorry, don't know exact configuration). I've found a factor of 3
on CPU-bound parts of the program. But for parts that CONS a lot, the factor is
around 1, even sometimes slightly in favor of MCL!
