MCL environment questions

I have two questions:

1) Is there any way to make colored text in the editor? It would be cool
if I could make my comments green. I know how to make them italicized, but
not colorcized.

2) I'd really like it if I could use format to output bold text. I
wouldn't care if it was unportable, I would just like to be able to have
bold text. Is there any way to do that?
