Re: Where's Semantic Microsystems?

Yes, Semantic Microsystems became Lightship Software. The current
version of MacScheme, v4.2, should work fine with System 7.5 provided
you are running no more than 64 megabytes of virtual memory. (It uses
a 6-bit tag in the high-order bits.) MacScheme is available from

    Academic Distributing
    P O Box 711
    Dewey AZ 86327
    (800) 531-3227
    (800) 441-5015 (fax)

Both MacScheme and MacGambit can compile to Motorola 68000 code,
which is emulated by Power Macintoshes. At this moment, I do not
know of any Scheme compilers that generate native PowerPC code
for Power Macintoshes.
