Any hints on CLX for a NeXT with akcl and co-Xist?

I just thought that I'd check if anyone has done this already before
I get started [it doesn't want to run right out of the tar-box].

I was going to skim through the mail archive, but cli.com doesn't
want to talk to me.  Is the archive site up?
