Do I understand correctly that your feature involves having
users write functions that are essentially part of the compiler?
What would happen if someone were to completely redesign the compiler
and all its data structures? We are planning to do this when
we build the next generation of Lisp machine, and should have
no problem with portability of code; it seems like your system
would not be so portable in this circumstance.
