question

Dear "Bugs",

This may be a longshot, but I've got a somewhat LISP-related error
message I can't figure out. Perhaps one of you people know what it
means:

;;; Running library:load-foreign.csh...

Error in function EXTENSIONS:LOAD-FOREIGN.
"library:load-foreign.csh" failed:
ld -N -A /local/clisp-4.0/lisp-4.0-clx-closs -T C00000 -o /tmp/tmp26419Q /nfs/text1/pangloss/lib.sparc/unixsocket.o /nfs/text1/pangloss/lib.sparc/io.o -lc -lm
ld: /local/clisp-4.0/lisp-4.0-clx-closs: linker expected toolversion number 0x1 and got 0x0
if ( 4 != 0 ) exit 1
exit 1
Error flushed ...
0]

It happens when I try to load-foreign. It seems that the linker ld is
complaining about something, although I'm not really clear what. If
anyone there can shed any light on the problem, I'd be very
appreciative.

Thanks,
