anybody out there know why zmacs in release 7.0 sometime
seems to insert lisp forms and special characters in what
appears to be plain ordinary text? these characters don't
appear in buffer display but do appear when the file is
viewed or printed out on other systems. A sample is enclosed
D,#TD1PsT[Begin using 006 escapes](1 0 (NIL 0) (NIL :ROMAN NIL) "CPTFONT")memory(2 0 (NIL 0) (NIL NIL NIL) "CPTFONT"), the question, "Why study the design of a
system?",
human1 memory 2may stand to benefit from the lessons
You are using characters styles in your text files. You can't and not expect
escape sequences to appear in it. Edit the file in zmacs, type m-sh-< c-sh->
c-x c-j return. This will remove all character style escapes from your file.
