I am running Chaos net on my Unix 4.2 Vax.  I am having problems
reading carry tapes remotely off the Vax's 1/2 inch tape drive.  Every tape 
produces the message:
"Unknown keyword or tape out of sync."
On most tapes the error occurs half way through the tape.  Is this
a known bug?

I occasionally get this error on distribution tapes, but with carry tapes
its happened on 12 consecutive tapes.
