Mail to UNIX 4.2 Systems (SUNs in particular)

We are having some problems getting a Symbolics to speak SMTP to a SUN.

Whenever the SUN opens a connection to the Symbolics, the Symbolics
tells the SUN it's ready and after that things seem to hang.

Does anyone have any hints on what we should be doing?

If anyone has gotten this to work in the past, would you mail me your
send_mail.cf file?

Any information on this connection would be appreciated.
