Hirose cable

Well, I have the pinouts and specs to the mouse; it is derived from the
old quadrature encoding used at Xerox and on the original "rat" from
SRI in the early 60's. Contact me for the paper copy by snail mail,
or you can try an untested PostScript file of the schematic through
  email...

We've wired a few hundred feet of extension cables for the Hirose cable
on the SYmbolics, and have had serious problems with the sound on some
but not all of the cables. The sounds (and other twisted pairs) are
differential drive, so you want a twisted pair inside a shield of the
"cable ground". We haven't tried it, but it's the obvious next move.
my pinouts sheet cannot be accessed until Sept.
