Yes, SEND (as part of SMTP) is a documented protocol which the Symbolics
and other vendors (at least TOPS-20) supports.  Now, if you were really
asking whether SUN supports it, I don't know.

By the way folks, I do get perturbed when people make statements to the
effect that if Symbolics is supposed to interface to other hosts, why
doesn't it support vendor X's protocol Y (eg, spool to a Unix host).
Why doesn't vendor X support Symbolics's protocol is another question?
Is it too hard to write the code on their system to talk to Symbolics
so we write it on the Symbolics to talk their in-house protocol.

If "The network is the computer", then why are some vendor's machines
so buggy in security against the network?
