Moving a printer

I am trying to move an LGP2 from one host to another. I have made the 
entries in the namespace for the spooled printer, the homew-directory for
the spooler, and the hardcopy, printer-queue-control, and printer-control
services. I have updated the printer namespace entry to point to the right
host and serial connection. I then hook up the printer and get nothing.
No output, no flashing lights on the printer, nothing.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks
