FsEdit and Unix Systems

Juergen Christoffel suggested setting machine type to UNIX42 instead of
ULTRIX to make FsEdit work on that host. I have tried this, and it seems 
to work when FsEdit'ing on Sun hosts, but still screws up on Ultrix.
I have tried this in both 7.2 and 7.4 and still get a listing of the
entire tree below the directory being edited. Is there anything else to
try?
